Orem, Utah - Utah Valley volleyball wraps up its string of nine consecutive road matches with trips to Newark and Chicago this weekend. The Wolverines will compete in the NJIT Invitational against Columbia (Friday, 1pm), NJIT (Friday, 5pm) and St. Francis (Saturday, 8pm) before traveling to battle Chicago State on Monday at 5pm.
All three matches at the NJIT Invitational will feature Gametracker and can be accessed by going to www.WolverineGreen.com.
Two of this weekend's opponents, (NJIT and Chicago State) are fellow D-I independents. It will be Utah Valley's first action this season against independent teams. The Wolverines will play six matches against independent schools before hosting the D-I Independent Championship on November 16-17.
Utah Valley has won two straight after sweeping a two-match road trip against Big Sky schools Idaho State and Montana State, both in four games.
The win over ISU gave head coach Sam Atoa is 200th career win in his 9th season at UV.
Camie Manwill surpassed a milestone in the win over MSU by becoming the second player to achieve 1,000 career kills. Teammate Jessica Endres was the first after passing the mark earlier this season.
