Newark, New Jersey - Utah Valley completed a perfect weekend at the NJIT Invitational with a 30-16, 30-23, 30-15 sweep of St. Francis (NY) on Saturday. The win clinched the invitational title and was the fifth straight win overall for the Wolverines, who moved to 10-5 on the year.
Dani Robison hit .458 with a career-best 14 kills while Jessica Endres had 13 kills and hit .393 on her way to all-tournament honors.
"I'm really happy for Dani and with what she's doing. She getting some opportunities and doing some good things to contribute to our success," said head coach Sam Atoa. "We have some girls that are sick and injured that we didn't want to play at all so we changed some things. The team came out today and just took care of business."
Allyce Wilson got the start at setter and finished with 41 assists (13.66 apg) and 11 digs. Chelsea Baugh (13) and Terin Ledall (12) also both reached double figures in digs.
The Wolverines hit .252 in the match and held St. Francis to a -0.26 percentage, the lowest of any opponent this season.
Utah Valley never trailed in any single game and led by as much as 16 points twice in game one.
Up next, the Wolverines will try and extend the winning streak to six at Chicago State on Monday night at 6pm MT.
