UVU Notes
OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University volleyball team will look to maintain its current second-place positioning in the Great West Conference when they travel to the state of Texas for matches with Houston Baptist (11-17, 3-7) and Texas-Pan American (6-15, 4-6)on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
Both matches are set to begin at 6 p.m. (MT).
The Wolverines (17-9, 7-2) went 1-2 last week with a win over South Dakota and losses to North Dakota and BYU.
Utah Valley swept Houston Baptist on Oct. 23 to move to 2-0 all-time versus the Huskies.
On Oct. 15, the Wolverines posted a 3-1 victory over Texas-Pan American to move to 13-1 all-time versus the Lady Broncs. UVU has won the last nine in the series.
Houston Baptist has won four of its last six matches (losses to UVU and NJIT), and Texas-Pan American, since losing to Utah Valley, has won three straight matches over Chicago State, St. Peter's College and NJIT.
Following the road trip, the Wolverines will close out the regular season on Nov. 12 when they host NJIT.
