GREELEY, Colo. - Utah Valley University wrapped up Pacific Coast Softball Conference play Sunday with 7-0 and 9-0 losses to Northern Colorado.

With the losses, the Wolverines fall to 27-26 overall and 11-7 in conference play. They host Utah in a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 on Tuesday before closing out the regular season Wednesday at BYU.

UNC pitching held the Wolverines to just seven hits in the two contests, while battering UVU pitching for 24 hits.

"Apparently they (the Bears) didn't like getting beat up Saturday because they took it to us Sunday and beat us in every facet of the game - pitching, defense, hitting," UVU softball coach Todd Fairbourne said. "They were the far better team. We didn't come out of the gates ready. We need to give them credit where credit it due."

Meghan Woodworth, Shaylyn Varney and Allison Barr had UVU's hits in the first game. UVU starter Heather Bacon went just 1.1 innings in suffering the loss.

Game 2 wasn't much better. UNC pitching held the Wolverines to just four hits - Woodworth, Mandy Tapia, Cherylyn McGraw and Megan Gardner.

Kyli Flanary took the loss for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines finished conference play in second place behind Portland State.
