DALLAS -- Utah Valley Meghan Yocom had a weekend on the diamond that most players can only dream of.
The senior outfielder went 10-for-19 with a triple, three homers and five RBIs in leading the Wolverines to a 4-2 record in doubleheaders against Houston Baptist, South Dakota and North Dakota.
Amanda Perez didn't have a bad weekend either.
The first baseman tallied six hits - three of which were homers - and drove in four runs.
After taking it on the chin in a 14-0 loss to North Dakota Sunday, the Wolverines bounced back and beat the Fighting Sioux 3-1 behind Yocom, Perez and freshman righthander Josi Summers.
The Wolverines (6-14) trailed 1-0 entering the fourth inning. Amanda Robinson reached base with a hit and Perez followed with a two-run homer to give Summers, who beat South Dakota with a two-hitter Saturday, all the run support she would need.
Summers (5-8) allowed an unearned run in the first inning, but didn't give up her first hit until the fifth. UND only other hit came in the sixth.
Her final line: one run (unearned) on two hits while striking out five and walking four. For the weekend she went 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA. In 21 innings pitched, she allowed four runs (one earned) while striking out 13 and walking seven.
"Josi carried us from the mound and one again Perez and Yocom provided the offense," UVU softball coach Todd Fairbourne said. "I'm dreading the day Meghan graduates."
The Wolverines are back in action Tuesday morning when they host Boise State at BYU's Gail Miller Park.
