OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team is set to take on in-state rival Weber State Saturday night at the Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (MT).

Weber State enters Saturday's contest against the Wolverines with a 3-5 overall record. The Wildcats hold wins over Presentation College, Nevada and Oral Roberts this season. The team is currently on a two-game skid having dropped a 63-56 decision at UT Arlington and a 76-60 decision to BYU at home on Dec. 13.

Randy Rahe is in his ninth season as the head coach of the Wildcats. Rahe has led WSU to four Big Sky Championships and seven post-season tournament appearances in his tenure at WSU. Weber State has enjoyed tremendous success at home as the Wildcats have lost only seven home games over the last four seasons.

Sophomore guard Jeremy Senglin leads the WSU offense averaging 14.3 points per game. Senglin most recently led Weber State with 16 points in the loss to BYU. Junior forward/center Joel Bolomboy is the only other Wildcat averaging double figures at 13.9 points a contest.

"Weber State is a very athletic team," said UVU head coach Dick Hunsaker. "They can mix you up defensively in a lot of ways. They have some very talented personnel that will be a real challenge for us to compete against."

Saturday night's meeting with Weber State will mark the eighth time the two schools have met on the hardwood. The Wildcats own a 4-3 all-time series lead over the Wolverines. Weber State is a perfect 4-0 against the Wolverines in Ogden, while Utah Valley is a perfect 3-0 against WSU in Orem.

Utah Valley enters Saturday's contest with a 3-6 record. The Wolverines dropped a 50-47 decision to Utah State on Dec. 13.
Donte Williams led the Wolverines with a game-high 14 points against the Aggies. He hit 4-of-9 shots from the field, including a pair of threes in the setback. Williams was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. The junior guard also pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists on the night. Sophomore forward
Zach Nelson scored 12 points with five rebounds, one assist and a steal. Bruneel was just a rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Junior guard
Marcel Davis helped with five points.

Mitch Bruneel leads the Wolverines in scoring at 11.4 points per contest and rebounding at 6.1 boards a game. Nelson and Davis each averaged 9.2 points per game. Davis fronts the team in assists at 4.0 per game.
