Â
"This was a big game," said Utah Valley head coach
Brent Anderson. "We knew Grand Canyon would come in fired up. They beat us on our home field last year so we knew what they were capable of. We prepared well this week and you could see the energy. Being senior night was a motivating factor and we came out fired up and created a lot of great scoring opportunities right away."

Senior midfielder
Kasandra Anderson was first to get the Wolverines on the scoreboard as she received a cross from
Kali Stubbs on the right side and sent it past the GCU keeper to give UVU the 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. The goal is Anderson's fifth goal of the season.
