Konner Frey scored a team-high 14 points and
Dayon Goodman added a career-high 10 in an 81-55 setback against Utah State Tuesday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Utah Valley got off to a good start taking a 10-6 lead four minutes into the first half. The Wolverines continued to lead 11-10 at the 14:54 mark but a 12-3 Aggie run gave USU a 26-16 advantage with 9:02 to play in the first period. USU then took a 44-31 lead into the break.

The Wolverines shot just 25.9 percent from the field in the second half and Utah State took advantage, out-scoring Utah Valley 37-24 in the final period to secure the win.

Frey scored his 14 points on a 5-of-14 clip from the field, including a shot from long range. He also knocked down 3-of-6 free throws. Goodman hit 2-of-4 shots from the field and 6-of-8 free throws for his career-high 10 points.

Marcel Davis and
Jaden Jackson each scored eight points. Davis also pulled down six rebounds, dished out four assists and recorded a pair of steals.

Utah Valley shot 33.9 percent (19-of-56) from the floor, including a 25 percent (5-of-20) mark from three-point range. The Aggies hit 54.5 percent (30-of-55) of their shots from the floor, including six shot from the arc.

Utah State out-rebounded Utah Valley 46-25 on the night. The Wolverines committed 12 turnovers while forcing the Aggies into 18.

Utah Valley returns to Orem to begin a four-game home stand on Saturday against UC Davis. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 960 AM radio. Â
