WAC'S TOP TWO SQUARE OFF IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE
With their positioning in next week's tournament already set, Utah Valley University and No. 13 Seattle University square off in the regular season finale on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Clyde Field in Orem. It will be Senior Night for UVU's (13-4-1, 6-2-1) lone senior, Tyler Brown, who will be honored prior to the game.

A Wolverine win would certainly stand to bolster the team's NCAA RPI, which sits at No. 47, while the Redhawks have the 11th-ranked RPI in the country. Otherwise, Saturday's match serves mostly as bragging rights until next week in Kansas City, where both teams have a bye into the semifinals. Seattle U clinched the WAC regular season title with a 4-2 win over Incarnate Word last Sunday and is the No. 1 seed with Utah Valley the No. 2 seed.

"We were a post or two away in a couple of conference matches from this match having a much greater significance," said UVU head coach Greg Maas. "Seattle will be a great test and preparation for the WAC Tournament, and our boys are ready and excited to close out the regular season in front of family and friends here at Clyde Field."

Seeds three through six are still undecided heading into the final weekend of play. CSU Bakersfield currently sits in third but has just a one point advantage on the next four teams. Tournament host Missouri-Kansas City has 10 points and also remains mathematically alive for a spot.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Seattle U has won six straight matches overall and 13 out of 14 in garnering its highest ranking in program history. The Redhawks (15-3-0, 8-1-0) lead the WAC in several categories including goals scored (40), fewest goals allowed (15), and goals against average (0.83). UVU is second in the league in each of the categories, having scored 34 goals and allowing just 16 for a GAA of 0.89.

David Olsen leads Seattle and is tied for second in the WAC with 11 goals. He leads all WAC players with eight goals during conference play. The Redhawks are 1-0-1 in the series against the Wolverines. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw last season in Orem, with SU winning 1-0 in double-overtime two weeks later in Seattle.

LAST TIME OUT
In last week's only match, UVU defeated Incarnate Word, 4-1, with goals coming from four different players. Aaron Meyer, who leads the WAC and is third in the country with 11 assists, had a three-assist night, setting a new school record for assists in a game.

Skyler Milne, Paul Hoffmeister, Donnett Sackie, and Austin Buxton all scored for the Wolverines. For Milne it was his team-leading eighth goal of the season while Hoffmeister and Buxton both have six goals. For Sackie, it was the true freshman's first career goal.

UP NEXT
The Wolverines open the WAC Tournament on Friday at 3:30 p.m. MT/4:30 p.m. CT against the winner of the No. 3/6 match that will take place on Thursday. The winner of Friday's match advances to the championship on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. CT.
