OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team will wrap up a four-game homestand against in-state foe Weber State Wednesday night at the UCCU Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Utah Valley has dropped four straight dating back to a loss at Utah State on Nov. 24. The Wolverines hold a 2-6 overall record with both of its victories coming at home. Wednesday's game against Weber State will mark the final game of a four-game homestand for the Wolverines, who will then head out on the road for five straight.

The Wolverines most recently dropped a 68-54 decision to Southern Utah on Saturday night. Marcel Davis scored a career-high 28 points to lead UVU in the loss. The senior guard hit a career-high 11-of-15 shots from the field, including four three-pointers. Andrew Bastien tallied a career-high seven blocks against SUU, the second-most blocks ever recorded in a single game in UVU history.

Konner Frey continues to lead Utah Valley in scoring and rebounding at 15.5 points and 7.3 rebounds a game. Davis and Jaden Jackson also average double digits at 11.0 and 10.3 points per game, respectively.

Weber State enters Wednesday's matchup against UVU with a 5-3 overall record. After losing its first two games of the season, WSU rallied two win five straight before dropping a 73-68 decision to BYU at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Saturday night.

In the loss to BYU on Saturday, Jeremy Senglin led the Wildcats with 20 points. Joel Bolomboy recorded a double-double for the eighth time in eight games this season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Senglin leads WSU in scoring this season at 20.1 points a contest, while Bolomboy averages 16.0 points and a team-best 11.9 rebounds per game.

"Weber State is a very good team and we'll have our hands full with them," said Utah Valley head coach Mark Pope. "They have guys who are shooting the heck out of the ball right now. They had a tough season last year but they've rebounded from last season's discouragement really really well."

Wednesday night's meeting between Utah Valley and Weber State marks the ninth time that the two schools have met on the basketball hardwood. The Wildcats hold an all-time 5-3 overall series lead over the Wolverines, including a 71-63 win in Ogden last season. Utah Valley's last win over WSU was a 62-59 win in Orem on Dec. 11, 2013.  Utah Valley holds an all-time perfect 3-0 record against Weber State in Orem.

Wednesday night's game will tip-off at 7 p.m., and will be broadcast live on UVU TV. The game will also be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network and over the air on ESPN 960 AM radio.
