OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team returns to the UCCU Center to take on WAC foe Seattle U Thursday night. Tip-off against the Redhawks is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Utah Valley enters Thursday's contest against the Redhawks with a 9-11 overall record. The team improved to 3-2 in WAC play after sweeping its first conference road trip since 2014 last week. The Wolverines defeated UMKC 90-79 before downing Chicago State 82-76.

Jaden Jackson scored a game-high 22 points, while Konner Frey and Marcel Davis each registered double-doubles to lead the Wolverines to the win at Chicago State Saturday afternoon. Jackson scored his 22 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field, including four made shots from beyond the arc. He also went a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Frey scored 15 points with 10 rebounds, while Davis helped with 10 points and 10 boards. Utah Valley knocked down 15-of-30 shots from long range—the second-most threes ever recorded in a game in UVU Division I history.  The team also went a perfect 17-for-17 from the free throw line and has now made 31 straight shots from the charity stripe.

Frey continues to lead the Wolverines in both scoring and rebounding at 15.2 points and 6.7 rebounds a game. The junior forward ranks fourth in the WAC in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Jackson and Davis also average double figures at 14.9 and 13.5 points per game, respectively. Davis fronts the team in assists at 4.6 a contest, while Andrew Bastien leads the team in blocks at 1.8 a game.

Seattle U heads into Thursday's game with an 8-11 overall record. The Redhawks are 2-3 in WAC play after picking up a 70-59 win at home against UTRGV on Saturday night. Seattle wrapped up a three-game homestand on Saturday night with the win over the Vaqueros. The team dropped a 79-52 decision to CSU Bakersfield before falling 68-60 to New Mexico State to open the three-game home stretch.

Five players scored in double figures to lead Seattle U to its 70-59 win over UTRGV on Saturday. Jack Crook led the Redhawks with a game-high 16 points with four rebounds and five assists. Emmanuel Chibuogwu tallied a career-high 13 points, while Manroop Clair knocked down four straight shots from beyond the arc for 12 points. Brendan Westendord helped with 11 points, while William Powell was also in double figures with 10. Westendorf leads the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game, while Clair also averages double figures at 10.7 points a contest. Powell fronts the team in rebounding at 5.9 boards a game.

Seattle U is coached by Cameron Dollar, who is in his seventh season with the team. He holds an 87-115 record with the Redhawks.

Saturday's meeting with the Redhawks marks the 11th time that the two schools have met on the basketball hardwood. The series is tied at 5-5. The two teams split last season's WAC series with each team winning on its home floor. The Wolverines have won four of the last six games and hold a 3-2 advantage over the Redhawks at home.

Thursday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast live on UVU TV. A live stream of the game will be available on the WAC Digital Network. The game will also be broadcast live on ESPN 960 AM radio.
