"We really got our bats going in the second inning and that was key for us. This was truly a team effort, as we played well in all facets of the game," said senior outfielder
Courtney Beavers. "I'm super proud of
Lauren Frailey. She did an amazing job for us this entire weekend."
Â
Utah Valley opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning as

Kirsten Andersen then scored on a CSUB throwing error to first base that allowed Beavers to reach. Morris then capped the scoring with a two-run shot over the left field fence to give the Wolverines a 7-0 lead.
Â
CSU Bakersfield got a run back in the top of the sixth inning as Chris Hipa doubled down the right field line to score Nadia Amezcua, who had doubled to left field earlier in the inning. The score cut the UVU lead to a 7-1 advantage after five and a half innings of play.
