OPENING TIP
	- Utah Valley University hits the road for the next three games in WAC play starting on Saturday at Seattle University in a 2 p.m. PT/3 p.m. MT tip. 
- The Wolverines (8-7, 2-0) swept the opening weekend of conference play at home with wins over Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield. 
- Junior Jordan Holland is scoring 13.1 points per game to lead UVU with freshman Eve Braslis is averaging 10.6 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds. Alexis Cortez is averaging 9.8 points while Maria Carvalho's 4.7 assists per game ranks third in the WAC. 
- Cortez was named the WAC Player of the Week on Monday, the second time she has received the honor this season. The junior averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game while hitting 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from the field. She had her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds vs CSUB. 
- Seattle U leads the all-time series 10-4 and has won five straight over Utah Valley. The Redhawks are 5-1 at home against the Wolverines. UVU's lone win at Seattle came during the 2016 season. The Redhawks, last season's WAC Tournament champions, won 83-53 at home over the Wolverines and by two, 77-75, in Orem during 2017-18 season.

LAST TIME OUT
All five starters reached double figures as Utah Valley University won its second straight game to open WAC play, holding off CSU Bakersfield, 78-70, on Saturday afternoon in Lockhart Arena. Jordan Holland led the way with 17 points while Maria Carvalho and Alexis Cortez both scored 16 and Eve Braslis and Madison Grange added 10 points apiece. Holland was 7-for-9 from the field while Cortez hit 6-of-8 including four of her five attempts from three. Cortez recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds and also had four steals for the second straight game. Carvahlo's 16 points is a new career-high for the freshman point guard. 
ABOUT THE REDHAWKS
Seattle U (0-15, 0-2) dropped a heartbreaker in triple-overtime last Saturday to Grand Canyon, 74-73, after falling in their WAC opener two days earlier, 70-60, to CSU Bakersfield. Kamira Sanders is averaging 13.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while Joana Alves is scoring 12.4 points and pulling down 5.7 boards per contest. Freshman Courtney Murphy made her season debut last week and is averaging 14.0 ppg in two contests for Seattle U.
