SEATTLE, Washington - Utah Valley's volleyball cruised past Seattle U in a four-set pickup on Thursday night in the Emerald State, 3-1 (17-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-19).
UVU owned sets two, three and four in the victory over SU, led by sophomore outside hitter
Kazna Tarawhiti. Tarawhiti topped both teams with a season-high 25 kills for a monster .378 hitting percentage, also posting her second-highest number of kills behind her career-high 26 kills at CSUB in the 2018 season. Tarawhiti also grabbed 14 digs from the backrow, to tally her ninth double-double of the season.
As a team, UVU posted a .538 hitting average in the third set, followed by a .364 average to claim the final two sets in the win. In the match, UVU average .276 hitting percentage on 59 total kills, the most in the last nine games for Utah Valley.

Makaila Jarema doubled both teams at the net with six blocks as the Wolverines collected nine team blocks as well. Junior libero
Seren Merrill held the defense tight on the backrow with 14 digs, the most of both teams on the night.
Utah Valley looks at one final regular-season matchup against Cal Baptist, November 16 at 2pm MT. The Wolverines then will return home to the Lockhart Arena to host the teams first ever WAC volleyball tournament, November 21-23.
