OPENING TIP
- Utah Valley University begins a three-game homestand on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. MT in the UCCU Center against the University of Antelope Valley.
- The Wolverines (0-5) had their best offensive performance of the young season at defending Mountain West Conference champions Boise State on Tuesday with Eve Braslis leading four players in double figures with 16 points.
- Josie Williams went 6-for-8 from the field and matched her career high with 15 points while Alexis Cortez and Jordan Holland both scored 13 points. Cortez also set a new career high with six assists.
- Braslis and Cortez are both averaging 11.6 points per game to lead UVU, while Holland is scoring 10.0 points and leading the team with 6.0 rebounds per game. Williams has averages of 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds.
ABOUT THE PIONEERS
Antelope Valley, located in Lancaster, California, hails from the California Pacific Conference and is the 14th-ranked program in NAIA Division II. Saturday's game is an exhibition for the UAV. The Pioneers opened the season with five straight wins before losses to the No. 4 and No. 8-ranked NAIA Division I programs, The Master's and Westmont. Antelope Valley played at BYU in an exhibition on Nov. 2, falling 105-52.

Utah Valley will host a pair of Big Sky Conference schools next week. Idaho State comes to the UCCU Center next Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Montana will be in Orem next Saturday, Dec. 7 in a 2 p.m. tip in Lockhart Arena.
