CHICAGO, Illinois - Utah Valley came up short in a five-set contest against Chicago State on Saturday morning, 2-3 (25-15, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 8-15).
The Wolverines tallied 12 blocks on the day to the Cougars nine and
Bailey Christensen led with nine kills at the net.
Makaila Jarema collected six blocks,
Jasmine Niutupuivaha with five alongside seven kills on the day.
Both teams battled from the backrow defense, UVU tallying 75 digs overall and CSU with 79. Niutupuivaha and Christensen both posted a .200 finish in the five set contest.
UVU remains on the road as they take on the last pair of regular-season competitions at Seattle U and Cal Baptist, November 14 and 16.
