UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY WYOMING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Utah Valley looks to snap a five-game skid as the Wolverines head back out on the road to take on Wyoming on Wednesday, Dec. 18 in Laramie. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (MT).
Utah Valley has played six of its last nine games on the road, traveling over 9,000 miles through the air in the process. The Wolverines have dropped five straight with setbacks at Mount St. Mary's, at Colorado State, at home to Weber State, at Southern Utah, and against Northern Arizona. UVU's last win was a 68-62 over reigning Summit League Tournament champion North Dakota State on Nov. 23 in Fargo.
Casdon Jardine scored a game-high 17 points and
Isaiah White added 16 to lead Utah Valley in a 79-73 setback to Northern Arizona on Saturday night at the UCCU Center.
Emmanuel Olojakpoke was also in double figures with 12 points. Olojakpoke also tallied six boards and a pair of blocks. Woodbury recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
As of Dec. 16, Utah Valley leads the nation in blocks with 73. The Wolverines also rank 14th nationally in blocks per game at 6.1 a contest. Individually,
Emmanuel Olojakpoke is tied for sixth nationally with 35 blocks. He also ranks tied for 15th in blocks per game at 2.9. With 35 blocks already this season, Olojakpoke is on track to break the all-time UVU single season blocks record of 72 set by Akolda Manyang during the 2017-18 season.

TJ Washington leads the Wolverines in scoring at 14.2 points, which ranks seventh in the WAC. Junior forward
Casdon Jardine is second at 11.7 points a game, followed by
Brandon Averette at 11.6 and
Trey Woodbury at 10.3. Brandon Morely ranks sixth in the league in rebounding at 5.9 boards a game, while
Emmanuel Olojakpoke leads the WAC and ranks sixth in the nation with 35 blocks this season.
Mark Madsen enters his first season as the head coach of the Wolverines. The two-time NBA champion, former Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach, and former Stanford University basketball star makes his debut season as a head coach. He is just the third head coach in UVU's Division I history. Madsen takes over the Utah Valley program after serving the past six seasons as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was a two-time NBA champion as a player with the Lakers (2001 and 2002), and he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves for six seasons.

Wednesday night's game at Wyoming will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network. The game will also be broadcast over the radio waves as Jim McCulloch enters his 10th season as the Voice of the Wolverines.

ABOUT WYOMING
Wyoming enters Wednesday night's game with a 3-8 overall record. Like the Wolverines, Wyoming is looking to snap a five-game losing streak. All three of Wyoming's wins this season have come at home where the team holds a 3-5 record. The Cowboys most recently dropped a 74-53 decision to Northern Colorado at home on Saturday night. The team dropped the game to the Bears despite shooting a season-high 60 percent from the field in the first half. Redshirt sophomore Hunter Maldonado led the Pokes against Northern Colorado with 17 points. Maldonado has scored in double-figures in every game this season and in 17 of his last 19 games dating back to last season. He is the only Wyoming player that is averaging double figures this season at 17.1 points per game. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 57.3 points a game while allowing its opponents a 65.3 points per game average. The team is shooting 40.8 percent from the field with a 30.2 percent mark from long range this year.
SERIES HISTORY VS. WYOMING
Utah Valley and Wyoming meet on the basketball hardwood for the fourth time on Wednesday night. The Cowboys hold an all-time 3-0 advantage over the Wolverines. Wednesday's game marks the third time the two teams have met in Laramie with Wyoming winning each of those games. The two teams last met in the College Basketball Invitational semifinals with the Cowboys edging out the Wolverines, 74-68, in Laramie.
