Wolverines host Idaho State Tuesday in UCCU Center

OPENING TIP
  • Utah Valley University women's basketball continues its three-game homestand by hosting Idaho State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. MT in the UCCU Center. 
  • The Wolverines (1-5) got a career-high 19 points from Josie Williams in a 77-61 victory over Antelope Valley on Saturday. Williams was 8-for-10 from the field in the win.
  • Jordan Holland added a season-high 17 points, Megan Jensen recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Alexis Cortez match her career-best six assists for the second straight game. 
  • Saturday's win was the first in new head coach Dan Nielson's career.
  • Eve Braslis leads four players averaging in double figures with 11.3 points per game. Holland (11.2 ppg), Williams (10.5 ppg) and Cortez (10.2) all sit right behind her. 
  • Tuesday's game opens a six-game month of December where UVU will not leave the state of Utah to play. The Wolverines have four home games and road contests at BYU (Dec. 14) and Weber State (Dec. 17).

ABOUT THE BENGALS
Idaho State (3-2) is coming off of a 83-57 win over Montana Tech last Monday in Pocatello. The Bengals only losses have come on the road at Oklahoma State and Duke, while the wins have come by an average of 36.0 points per game including a 73-48 victory over Seattle U. Estefania Ors is scoring 12.8 points while Callie Bourne is averaging 12.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Idaho State leads the all-time series, 10-5, and has won five in a row over Utah Valley. The Wolverines are 4-4 all-time against ISU at home. 

COMING UP
Utah Valley hosts Montana on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT in Lockhart Arena. The Wolverines will play just once next week during finals week, a Saturday afternoon contest on Dec. 14 at BYU.
