OPENING TIP
- Utah Valley University opens the 2019 WAC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. MT against Kansas City at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- The Wolverines (14-15) have lost four straight entering the tournament and are the No. 5 seed while the Kangaroos (15-14) are coming off of a lopsided win over Chicago State and also swept the season series from the Wolverines.
- Jordan Holland is averaging 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds for UVU and has scored in double figures in 20 straight games. On Monday, Holland was named to the All-WAC second team.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley University fell in the final game of the WAC regular season, 92-73, at CSU Bakersfield on Saturday at the Icardo Center. Eve Braslis and Jordan Holland scored 16 points apiece to lead UVU while Josie Williams added 10 off the bench and Madison Grange had nine points and six rebounds. Alexxus Gilbert led the Roadrunners with 24 points, Ashley Austin finished with 19 and Nina Jorden had a game-high 12 rebounds and three blocks.
ABOUT THE 'ROOS
Kansas City ended the WAC regular season with a dominating 100-50 win over Chicago State last Saturday to secure the No. 4 seed. The Kangaroos are led by junior Ericka Mattingly, who is second in the WAC with 19.0 points per game. In the regular season two games against UVU, Mattingly averaged 20.5 points, 8.5 assists and 4.5 steals. UMKC also boasts the WAC Freshman of the Year in Leilah Vigil, who hauled in 21 rebounds in the 'Roos' February win over the Wolverines.Â
