"It was a good game, we loved the ending and obviously we felt like we deserved it," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Lemay. "Our possession was great all night. We created a lot of chances and stayed persistent. In the end it was an unbelievable individual effort in the wide space by
Amber Tripp and then what a great service and then an even better header back across the grain by
Jenna Shepherd.
Julianna Carter was in the right place to tuck it away and that's what she's there to do."
Carter scored the game winner in the 88th minute after Tripp sent a ball into the box from the right side of the field. Shepherd then got a head on it and sent it to Carter, who fired it into the back of the net to secure the Wolverines the 2-1 victory.
