OREM, Utah – The Utah Valley volleyball team heads to Logan, Utah for another in-state matchup against Utah State on September 18 at 7pm MT.
 
The last time the Wolverines and the Aggies met, resulted in a 3-0 sweep for UVU over Utah State. The teams have met 16 times since 2003 for an even 8-8 split in matches.
 
Utah State has opened the 2019 season on a 0-10 record, including contests against other in-state rival, #18 Utah (0-3) and Southern Utah (2-3).
 
Utah Valley currently sits on a 2-8 record, with wins over Portland State and UC Davis. The Wolverines are led by sophomore outside hitter Kazna Tarawhiti, who tops both UVU and the WAC in kills per set (4.06) and 142 total kills. Tarawhiti also tallied a season-high 21 kills against #18 Hawaii this past weekend. UVU libero Seren Merrill also sits in the No. 2 spot in the conference in digs per set at 4.35 for 135 total digs so far in the season.
 
Following the contest against the Aggies, Utah Valley will return home for the final non-conference matchup of the season against Weber State on September 19 at 6pm MT before opening conference play against defending WAC champion New Mexico State, September 26 at 6pm MT.
