Box Score MORAGA, Calif. -- Utah Valley dropped the opener of a three-game series at Saint Mary's, 4-1, in a game that was halted on Friday before finishing on Saturday morning. The teams will play a scheduled doubleheader this afternoon.

The Wolverines (8-4) got their lone run in the top of the seventh when Brynn Hilton had a pinch-hit double and later scored on a Linnah Rebolledo RBI. 

Saint Mary's scored all of its runs via the home run. The Gaels got three in the second, on a solo shot from Maddie Gallagher and a two-run home run by Halle Sullivan. Wolverine starter Brooke Carter struck out six in the loss while Saint Mary's starter Kayla Scott struck out three as both starters went the distance.
