PHOENIX, Ariz. – Utah Valley was unable to complete the comeback as the Wolverines dropped its first-ever matchup with WAC-newcomer Stephen F. Austin, 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 17-25, 23-25). The loss snaps UVU's five-match win streak as the Wolverines fall to 10-9 on the season, including 5-3 in WAC play. The Ladyjacks improve to 14-5 on the year and 5-2 in conference play.

Tanuvasa led the Wolverines with 12 kills to go along with 11 digs.
Kristen Bell added 12 kills and 13 digs while
Kendra Nock chipped in a team-high six blocks.
Abbie Miller finished with a team-high 29 assists to go along with six digs and
Natalie Palmer chipped in 14 assists and three aces.
Bryton Bishop tallied 20 digs to lead the UVU backline defense. Â Â
The Wolverines continues in Phoenix as UVU takes on WAC-newcomer Sam Houston on Saturday, Oct. 23. The match is set for 3:00 p.m. MT. and will be broadcast on the WAC Digital Network. UVU then returns home for a matchup with Chicago State in Lockhart Arena on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 12:00 p.m. MT. on ESPN+.Â
