PROVO, Utah - The Utah Valley men's and women's track and field teams opened up its indoor season this weekend at the BYU Cougar I Invitational.
Aaron Johnson and
Seth Krauss both took first in their respective events and the Wolverines had eight other top-three finishes.
"The meet went really well and we had a bunch of personal records and top-10 movement," said Utah Valley head track and field coach
Scott Houle. One big school record wasÂ
Aaron Johnson breaking the 60m record, which has been held by Allah Laryea-Akrong since 2016. That record has been around for a long time and that is a really fast time. Our athletes have been doing a really good job since the spring in preparing and this meet showed that we're better off than we have been in the past. Everyone competed well and everything looks really good for us."Â
