OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University's cross country teams are set to race at this week SUU Color Country Invitational on Saturday at Cedar Ridge Golf Course in Cedar City, Utah.
The 19th-ranked Wolverine women will run a 4K at 10:30 a.m. MT while the men will race in a 6K that starts at 11 a.m. MT.
Among the Wolverines slated to compete are
Elizabeth Zwahlen and
Abby Linford, who finished third and fifth, respectively, to help UVU win last year's Color Country Invite.
Madison Flippence, who is resting for Utah Valley this week, finished second in the 2021 race while at Utah Tech.
Coming off the 46-team Paul Short Run last week, several Wolverine runners are taking a pause from competition this week in preparation for another big race on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin. Utah Valley is sending a limited number of runners — 17 total — to Saturday's races.
