UTAH VALLEY HOSTS NORTHERN ARIZONA ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT UCCU CENTER
Utah Valley continues play at home on Saturday afternoon against Big Sky Conference foe Northern Arizona. Tipoff at the UCCU Center is set for 2 p.m.

Le'Tre Darthard scored 14 points and Aziz Bandaogo recorded a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead Utah Valley to a 91-64 win over Western Colorado on Wednesday night in the team's home opener at the UCCU Center. Trey Woodbury scored 13 points and pulled down four rebounds with one steal. Bandaogo had 12 points on a perfect 6 of 6 mark from the field. He also had 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals. Justin Harmon scored 11 points on a 5 of 8 mark with one three. Blaze Nield also had 11 points with a pair of threes to go along with five assists.

Through two games this season, Bandaogo leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Three other Wolverines average double figure scoring, including Cam Alford (11.5 ppg.), Trey Woodbury (10.5 ppg.), and Justin Harmon (10.0 ppg.).

Saturday's game against Northern Arizona will be broadcast live on ESPN+, which is available at on the ESPN app and at ESPNplus.com.  The game will also be broadcast over the air waves in Utah County with Jim McCulloch on the call. ABOUT NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona has opened the season with a 0-2 record against a pair of Power 6 opponents on the road with a 73-55 loss at Michigan State and an 84-68 setback on Thursday night at Arizona State. Junior guard Jalen Cone led the Lumberjacks with 17 points while sophomore guard Liam Lloyd and redshirt junior center Ezekiel Richards each added 11 in the loss at ASU on Thursday night. Through two games, Cone leads the team in scoring at 18.5 points a contest followed by Lloyd at 11.0 points a game. Cone also fronts the team on the boards at 8.0 rebounds a game. The 'Jacks have shot 36.8 percent from the field with a 25.9 percent mark from long range. NAU returns five starters and welcomes 10 new players to the team this year. The team was picked seventh by the coaches and eighth by the media in the Big Sky Conference preseason poll. The Lumberjacks posted a 9-23 overall record and a 5-15 conference mark last season. 

SERIES HISTORY VS. NORTHERN ARIZONA
Utah Valley and Northern Arizona will meet on the basketball hardwood for the fifth time on Saturday afternoon at the UCCU Center. The game will be the first of a two-game set between the two schools this season as the Wolverines will also travel to play NAU in Flagstaff on Dec. 10. The all-time series is tied at 2-2. NAU took a 79-73 win in the last meeting on Dec. 14, 2019 in Orem. UVU's last win over NAU was a 98-78 win in Flagstaff on Dec. 8, 2018.

LAST MEETING vs. Northern Arizona (Dec. 14, 2019 - Orem)
Casdon Jardine scored a game-high 17 points and Isaiah White added 16 to lead Utah Valley in a 79-73 setback to Northern Arizona on Dec. 14, 2019  at the UCCU Center. Trey Woodbury recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. He scored his 14 points on a 5-of-11 shooting, including a shot from beyond the arc. He also went 2-for-3 at the free throw line.

DUNK VALLEY
Utah Valley has 10 dunks over its two games this season and Aziz Bandaogo is responsible for five of them. Justin Harmon and Trey Woodbury each have two flushes, while Tim Fuller has one. 

TEAM GAME
Utah Valley dished out 25 assists on 35 made baskets in its 91-64 win over Western Colorado on Wednesday night at the UCCU Center. The 25 assists are the eighth-most blocks recorded in a single game in the nation this season. UVU only recorded 25 or more assists in one game all of last season when it recorded 26 against Bethesda on Dec. 17, 2021. 

BLOCK PARTY
Newcomer Aziz Bandaogo has play just two games but has already established himself as the team's rim protector. Bandaogo has five blocks over his two games, which already ranks him fifth in the nation on the individual blocks list.
