Utah Valley travels to play Boise State on Saturday at ExtraMile Arena

UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY BOISE STATE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT EXTRAMILE ARENA
Utah Valley will play its final game of a four-game road swing as the team travels to the City of Trees to take on Boise State on Saturday at ExtraMile Arena. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Utah Valley went 1-1 at the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic last week in Montego, Bay, Jamaica. The Wolverines dropped a 73-72 overtime decision to Morgan State before defeating Green Bay, 79-56. Justin Harmon scored a game-high 18 points and Aziz Bandaogo had a 13-point, 14-rebound double-double in the win over Green Bay.

Aziz Bandaogo and Trey Woodbury were named to the Jamaica Classic All-Tournament team. Bandaogo averaged 14.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the two games in Montego Bay, while Woodbury averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.

Two of Utah Valley's three losses this season have come in overtime. The Wolverines dropped a 68-65 overtime decision at Wake Forest before falling 73-72 in overtime to Morgan State.

Aziz Bandaogo leads the Wolverines in scoring at 13.2 points a game and on the boards at 11.2 rebounds a game. He also leads UVU in blocks, averaging 3.0 swats a game.

Bandaogo ranks second in the nation in total rebounds with 67 and is eighth nationally in rebounds per game at 11.2. He also ranks third in blocks (18), third in double doubles (3), and ninth in blocks per game (3.0).

BROADCAST INFORMATION
Saturday's game at Boise State will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network, which is available at TheMW.com/Watch. Mike Walsh and Nick Duncan will be on the call for the game. The game will also be broadcast over the Utah County airwaves on ESPN 960 AM with Jim McCulloch on the call.

ABOUT BOISE STATE
Boise State enters Saturday's game against the Wolverines with a 3-2 overall record. The team went 2-1 at the Myrtle Beach Invitational last week in Conway, South Carolina. BSU dropped its opener of the Invitational to Charlotte, 54-42, before picking up a 70-48 win over Loyola-Chicago and a 68-55 win over Colorado to place fifth. Tyson Degenhart leads the team in scoring at 14.6 points per game, followed closely by Marcus Shaver Jr. at 14.2 points a contest. Max Rice also averages double figures at 11.0 points a game. Shaver Jr. leads the team on the boards, pulling down 9.0 rebounds per game. As a team, Boise State averages 63.4 points a game while limiting opponents to a 57.2 points per game average. The Broncos were picked to finish third in the preseason Mountain West Conference poll behind San Diego State and Wyoming.

SERIES HISTORY VS. BOISE STATE
Utah Valley and Boise State will meet on the basketball hardwood for the seventh time. Boise State holds an all-time 5-1 advantage in the series. The Broncos have won four straight over the Wolverines, including a 76-56 win last season in Boise. BSU holds a perfect 3-0 record against UVU in games played in Boise. UVU's lone win in the series was a 74-55 win in Orem on Nov. 27, 2004.

Newcomer Aziz Bandaogo has already established himself as one of the top shot blockers in the nation. Bandaogo leads the team with 18 blocks, which ranks him third in the nation. He also ranks ninth nationally at 3.0 blocks per game. 

SEEING DOUBLE
Aziz Bandaogo is averaging a double-double this season at 13.2 points and 11.2 rebounds a game. Bandaogo ranks third in the country with three double-doubles this year. 

OVERTIME
Utah Valley has already played two overtime games this season. The team has dropped both of those game by a combined four points. The Wolverines dropped a 68-65 decision at Wake Forest in OT before falling to Morgan State, 73-72, in the team's very next game. 

DUNK VALLEY
Utah Valley has 25 dunks over its six games this season and Aziz Bandaogo is responsible for 16 of them. Justin Harmon and Trey Woodbury have three dunks apiece. Tim Fuller, Tim Ceaser, and Ethan Potter each have one.
