OPENING TIP
- Utah Valley University wraps up the WAC regular season with a pair of home games in the UCCU Center starting Thursday at 6 p.m. MT against Grand Canyon. The final home game will be Saturday at noon MT against New Mexico State. Both games will air live on ESPN+.
- The Wolverines (14-13, 9-7) are currently in fourth place, one game in the loss column in front of both Sam Houston and Abilene Christian. UVU would need to finish ahead of both teams to stay in fourth due to tiebreakers. The top six teams earn first-round byes in next week's tournament, the top four receive byes through the first two rounds, and the top two are idle until the tournament semifinals.
- Josie Williams leads UVU with 17.4 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. Her points per game is second in the WAC and her 55.4% from the floor is fourth in the conference. She enters the week fourth in the country in rebounds per game while her 20 double-doubles — which is tied for the school record — is also tied for fourth nationally.
