UTAH VALLEY SET TO TAKE ON CSUN AND IDAHO STATE AT CLYDE FIELD
Utah Valley continues play at home this week against Big West foe Cal State Northridge (CSUN) on Thursday and versus regional rival Idaho State on Saturday. Both matches will kick off at 7 p.m. at Clyde Field.
The Wolverines head into Thursday's match fresh off a 0-0 draw against 23rd-ranked UCF last week at home. Faith Webber led UVU with a match-high three shots, including one on goal. Breanna Eves, Hannah Lee, Julianna Carter, and Tessa Thornton each had one shot. Utah Valley controlled the total possession with 52 percent and the Wolverine defense picked up its second straight shutout with the 0-0 result.
Utah Valley has scored three goals this season with Carter, Stainbrook, and Sydney Bushman each finding the back of the net. The Wolverines have an impressive five assists coming from five different players. Webber leads the Wolverines with 11 shots, including three on frame. In goal Idalia Serrano has allowed only one goal in her three matches while collecting eight saves and two clean sheets in the box.
After its 1-0-2 start to the season, the Wolverines moved up two spots to No. 8 in the latest in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific region poll.
The Wolverines continue play at home on Thursday night where the team holds an impressive nine-game unbeaten streak. UVU's last loss at Clyde Field was over a year ago on Aug. 28 when the Wolverines took a 4-2 setback to 25th-ranked USC.

ABOUT CSUN
CSUN holds a 1-3-0 overall record this season. The Matadors opened the season with three straight road matches, including two road matches against top-20 teams. The team dropped an 8-0 decision at No. 17 Pepperdine and a 6-0 decision at No. 6 UCLA. The team picked up a 2-1 win at California Baptist. CSUN opened its home slate on Sunday with a 1-0 setback to Loyola Marymount. CSUN's two goal against CBU were scored by preseason All-Big West honoree Cindy Arteaga and senior midfielder Ashley Cruz. The Matadors have scored two goals over their four matches while allowing 16. Arteaga leads the team with nine shots, followed by Cruz with five.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CSUN
Utah Valley and CSUN will meet on the pitch for the third time on Thursday night. CSUN holds an all-time 2-0-0 advantage over the Wolverines. The two teams last played on Aug. 27, 2017 with CSUN taking a 2-1 overtime win in Northridge. UVU also took a 2-1 double overtime loss to CSUN on Sept. 10, 2004 in Orem.
ABOUT IDAHO STATE
Idaho State holds a 1-1-2 record this season. The team opened the year with a 1-1 draw against Westminster College before dropping a 5-0 decision at Utah State. ISU then played Austin Peay to a 0-0 tie before picking up its first road win of the season in a 1-0 win at Lipscomb in Nashville. Sophomore midfielder Gabby Warta has scored ISU's lone goal of the season in the win at Lipscomb. She is also tied for the team lead with seven shots along side senior defender Karlin Wurlitzer. The Bengals have had three different keepers in goal this season. Sophomore keeper Chelsea Radicia leads the team with nine saves, followed by sophomore Kelsey Jargstorf with six.
SERIES HISTORY VS. IDAHO STATE
Utah Valley and Idaho State will meet on the pitch for the 13th time on Saturday night. The all-time series is tied 5-5-2. UVU has won three straight and five of the last six matches against ISU. UVU holds a 2-2-2 all-time record at home against the Bengals. The Wolverines took a 5-1 win over ISU the last time the two teams met in 2016. UVU and ISU last played in Orem in 2015 with the Wolverines taking a 5-1 win.
HOME UNBEATEN STREAK NOW AT NINE GAMES
With its 0-0 draw against No. 23 UCF last week, Utah Valley extended its home unbeaten streak to nine games. The last time the Wolverines dropped a match at Clyde Field was on Aug. 28, 2021 in a 4-2 loss to No. 25 USC.

Utah Valley holds an impressive 93-40-14 all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just eight matches over the past five seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 8-1-1 in 2021, 4-1-2 in 2020, 8-1-1 in 2019, 3-4-1 at home in 2018, 5-1-0 in 2017, 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. UVU ranked 10th in the nation in attendance in 2021 as the Wolverines drew an impressive 14,828 fans during the season, an average of 1,483 per game. UVU currently holds a nine-match unbeaten streak at Clyde Field. UVU's last loss at Clyde Field was a 4-2 setback to 25th-ranked USC on Aug. 28, 2021.
