Â
Utah Valley finishes regular season play with a 10-3-5 overall record and a near perfect 7-0-2 mark in WAC play. The Wolverines finish atop the WAC standings with 23 points. UVU also earns the top seed and a first-round bye at next week's WAC Tournament in Riverside, California.

The Wolverines have won a WAC regular season title in back-to-back seasons. It's also the third WAC regular season championship over the past four seasons for the Wolverines. UVU has won WAC regular season titles in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Â
"I'm happy for our team," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Lemay. "It's not just about one game. It's about nine games and going 7-0-2 is always going to be tough and we were able to do it. Ironically, we didn't play our best tonight, but we came out a lot better in the second half and started to move the ball. We'll have to be better in the tournament to get the results we want there. Winning championships is tough and we're going to enjoy this tonight."
Â
It did not take Utah Valley long to get on the scoreboard, going up 1-0 in just the second minute after
Heather Stainbrook sent a pass to the left side of the field to
Nicole Olanda. Olanda then sent a cross into the box where
Sydney Bushman headed into the back of the net to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.
Â
Identical to the first half, Utah Valley scored in just the second minute of the second period after

Â
Ashley Hughes dribbled the ball down the left side of the field in the 67th minute and dropped off a pass to
Faith Webber. Webber then led
Taylor Nelson with a pass in between two defenders inside the box. Nelson then sent a shot with her left foot into the goal to give UVU a 3-0 lead.Â
Â
Utah Valley outshot Southern Utah 27-13 on the night, including an 11-3 advantage on frame.Â
Stainbrook and Webber led UVU with seven shots apiece.
CJ Graham picked up her seventh WAC win in the box and her fourth combined shutout of the year.Â
