• Utah Valley has won two straight as the team travels south down I-15 to continue WAC play against Utah Tech in an Old Hammer Rivalry game at Burns Arena in St. George. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
   
• Leading 71-68 with 28 seconds to play, Jaden McClanahan stole the ball and knocked down five free throws over the final 26 seconds to help lift Utah Valley to a 78-72 win over Seattle U in the WAC opener on Wednesday night at the UCCU Center. Caleb Stone-Carrawell led Utah Valley with 20 points. McClanahan finished with 19 points, three assists, and a steal.  Trevin Dorius nearly had a double-double with 16 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and three blocks.
   
• Utah Valley hung its 2022-23 WAC regular season championship banner in the rafters before Wednesday's game against Seattle U. The Wolverines also raised their National Invitation Tournament (NIT) semifinal banner.
   
• With Wednesday night's win over Seattle U, Utah Valley has now won 10 straight games at home and 20 of its last 21 at the UCCU Center. UVU's last loss at home was an 85-80 setback to Seattle U on Jan. 14, 2023. The 10 straight home wins is the 10th longest home win streak in the nation.

Saturday night's game at Utah Tech will be broadcast live on ESPN+, which is available on the ESPN app or on ESPNplus.com. The game will also be broadcast over the air waves in Utah County with Jim McCulloch on the call. The radio broadcast will be aired live on ESPN 960 AM radio with a live stream available at ESPN960sports.com. Larson will host the pregame/halftime/postgame show  for the game on ESPN 960 AM. 

ABOUT UTAH TECH
Utah Tech enters Saturday night's game with a 3-3 overall record. The game against Utah Valley will be both the home opener and WAC opener for the Trailblazers. Utah Tech has won two of its last three games, including a 73-66 win at Lindenwood on Monday night. Junior forward/center Tanner Christensen led Utah Tech with a game-high 20 points. Junior forward Jaylen Searles helped with 17 points in the win over the Lions. Junior guard David Elliott leads the team in scoring at 14.7 points a game, but hasn't played the last three games. Christensen is second at 13.7 points a contest. Three other Trailblazers average double figures, including freshman guard Aric Demings (10.8), junior guard/forward Beon Riley (10.5), and Searles (10.2). Christensen leads the team on the boards, pulling down 8.0 rebounds a game. As a team, Utah Tech is averaging 70.8 points a contest, while allowing opponents a 76.5 points per game average. 

SERIES HISTORY VS. THE TRAILBLAZERS
Utah Valley and Utah Tech will meet for the seventh time as NCAA Division I programs. Utah Valley swept the two-game series last season, winning 71-60 at home before picking up a 76-69 win in St. George. The two programs first played during the 1972-73 season and played each season in the Scenic West Athletic Conference/NJCAA Region 18 until 2002-03, which was Utah Valley's final season of JUCO before moving into the NCAA Division I ranks during the 2003-04 season.
