OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University begins its final road stretch of the WAC regular season on Thursday at California Baptist. Tip is set for 6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT and the game will air live on ESPN+. The Wolverines (6-18, 3-10) have five games remaining and will play three straight on the road before ending the regular season with a pair of home contests. To clinch a berth in the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas, UVU needs a combination of three wins and/or Tarleton losses over each team's remaining five games. 

UVU split two home games last week, coming from behind to defeat UT Arlington, 64-53, behind a big fourth-quarter run. The Wolverine had another big run in the final minutes on Saturday, but their comeback attempt against WAC leader Southern Utah fell short, 75-70. Elina Tausinga set a career-high in scoring in both games last week, setting her new high of 11 against SUU. Kylee Mabry had 14 points and six assists in the win over UTA, setting new career bests in both categories.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
California Baptist is 13-11 overall and 9-4 in the WAC, tied for third along with Grand Canyon in the conference standings. The Lancers are currently fifth in the WAC resume seeding, which will determine the seeds for the conference tournament in March. CBU is 8-1 all-time against Utah Valley, including a 69-61 win earlier this season in Orem. 

CBU is led by Trinity San Antonio's 15.3 points and 2.2 steals per game. Freshman Grace Schmidt is averaging 14.0 points per game and Dorcus Wu is scoring 10.8 points and pulling down a team-high 7.2 rebounds per contest.
