OREM—Faith Webber scored a pair of goals for her fifth brace of the season to help lead the Utah Valley women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over WAC foe UTRGV on Saturday night at Clyde Field. 
 
Utah Valley improves to 6-3-4 overall and 3-0-1 in WAC play. The Wolverines are on a three-game win streak and hold a seven-match unbeaten streak. UTRGV falls to 3-7-2 overall and 1-3-0 in league play. 
 
"You've got to be happy with the win and scoring four goals," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Lemay. "I did think that we lacked some quality in the final third. There were a lot more opportunities that we should have finished but credit to UTRGV. I thought they had a great game plan and made it difficult on us. We just weren't as sharp as we are capable of being. With all that said, congrats to our team for a good weekend with the six points. We're excited about where we're at."
 
Utah Valley out-shot UTRGV 34-6 on the night, including 21-2 shots on goal advantage. Webber and Stainbrook led the Wolverines with nine shots, followed by Hladek with four and Brady with three. The 34 shots ties the team for the ninth most shots in a single game in UVU history and marks the second-most shots in a game in the Chris Lemay era.
 
Webber scored her 13th and 14th goals of the season, tying her own UVU single season record of 14 goals set last season. She now has five multi-goal games this season. Webber ranks in the top five nationally in scoring.
 
Utah Valley got on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute as Heather Stainbrook picked up a ball and sent it to Ruby Hladek at midfield. Hladek then sent a lead pass down the field to a streaking Webber who then made sent a shot past the UTRGV keeper to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.
 
Sydney Bushman sent a ball over to Jaylyn Wright on the right side of the field in the 32nd minute. Wright then led Webber with a pass who fired a shot into the back of the net to secure her brace and give UVU a 2-0 lead.
 
UTRGV's Bianca Buttler picked up a loose ball in the box and shot it into the goal to cut into UVU's lead, 2-1, in the 34th minute.
 
Nixan Jackson dribbled a ball from the left side of the field to the middle of the field and sent a shot from 30 yards out into the net to give UVU a 3-1 lead in the 41st minute. 
 
Bushman sent a long pass from beyond midfield into the box with just three seconds remaining in the half. Manthy Brady got a foot on it and sent a shot across the goal line as time expired in the half to give the Wolverines a 4-1 lead at the break.
 
CJ Graham and Leah Wolf each played 45 minutes in the box. 
 
Utah Valley now heads out on the road for a pair of WAC matches at Tarleton State and Abilene Christian next week. The Wolverines will take on Tarleton State on Oct. 5 before traveling to Abilene for a matchup on Oct. 8. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
