ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley junior defender Keith Willey has been named the UCU WAC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Willey played the full 90 minutes in the Wolverines' 2-0 shutout win over Air Force on Sunday. Willey and the Wolverine defense held the Falcons without a shot on goal and just six shots overall. Willey also played a pivotal role in the Utah Valley attack, putting pressure on the Air Force back line with pinpoint crosses over the top.

The award is Willey's first as a Wolverine, and the team's seventh of the season. It is also the fourth time a Utah Valley player has been honored as the Defensive Player of the Week, the most in any season.

Utah Valley kicks off the final homestand of the season on Thursday against the UNLV Rebels. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. MT and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
