UTAH VALLEY WRAPS UP HOME SLATE AGAINST UT ARLINGTON ON SATURDAY

- Utah Valley will honor its three departing seniors in a ceremony prior to start of Saturday's game against UTA. Trevin Dorius, Cache Fields, and Jaden McClanahan will each be honored as the three will be playing the final home game of their careers.

- With 14 wins on the season, head coach Todd Phillips has won more games than any first-year head coach in Utah Valley's full Division I status era. He also has the best KenPom rating (159) for a first-year head coach in program history. UVU became a full Division I member in 2009 after a seven-year provisional period. Mark Pope won 12 games during his first season (2015-16) and Mark Madsen won 11 games in his first season (2019-20) with the squad.

- Ethan Potter has averaged 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game over his last seven games, including his career-high 20-point performance in the 72-45 win over Abilene Christian on Feb. 10. Prior to his break-out 15-point game at SFA on Feb. 1, Potter was averaging 2.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks per game.

- Jaden McClanahan and Drake Allen have each dished out a career-high 11 assists this season. McClanahan did it most recently in a 71-62 win over Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 24. Allen has done it twice this season in UVU's 70-59 win over UTRGV on Feb. 22 and at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1. Allen and McClanahan are two of only four players in the WAC to dish out 10 or more assists in a single game this season. Allen and McClanahan are the only two players in the WAC this season to record 10 or more assists two times this season. Allen ranks second in the WAC in assists at 4.35 per game.

- Trevin Dorius recorded a career-high five blocks against WAC leader Grand Canyon on Feb. 3, which is the second most blocks pulled down in a single game this season in the WAC. Dorius ranks second in the WAC in blocks at 1.79 swats per game. Dorius has recorded two or more blocks in each of his last seven games.

- Utah Valley held Division I opponents to under 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time in program history with its 74-45 win over Abilene Christian on Feb. 10 and its 69-46 win at California Baptist on Feb. 15 .It marks the third overall time in UVU history that the Wolverines have held an opponent to under 50 points in back-to-back games (regardless of opponent classification).

- As a team, Utah Valley leads the WAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.23. Drake Allen leads WAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.22. UVU also ranks second in assists per game at 15.36. Trevin Dorius ranks sixth in the WAC in rebounding at 7.46 boards a game. Dorius is also ranks tied for third in offensive boards per game at 2.82.

- Utah Valley used its eight different starting lineup this season on Feb. 10 against Abilene Christian. The Wolverines have now used the same starting lineup in the team's last five games, all of which have resulted in victories.

Saturday's game against UT Arlington will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Brandon Crow and Josh Kallunki will be on the call for the ESPN+ broadcast. The game will also be broadcast over the air waves in Utah County with Jim McCulloch and Brice Larson on the call. The radio broadcast will be aired live on ESPN 960 AM radio with a live stream available at ESPN960sports.com. Larson will host the pregame/halftime/postgame show for the game on ESPN 960 AM.Â
ABOUT UT ARLINGTON
UT Arlington enters Saturday's matchup against Utah Valley with a 15-13 overall record and a 10-7 mark in WAC play. The Mavericks have won three straight, including wins over UTRGV, Southern Utah, and Utah Tech. UTA's last loss was an 80-78 setback at home to Tarleton State on Feb. 15. UTA holds a 3-10 record on the road this season. The team most recently picked up an 89-78 win at home against Utah Tech on Feb. 24. Graduate guard DaJuan Gordon led UTA with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double with freshman guard Makaih Williams scoring a game-high 23 points and junior guard Phillip Russell adding 20 more in the win. Russell leads the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game, followed by Gordon at 12.9 points a contest. Senior forward Shemar Wilson and Williams also average double figure scoring at 11.7 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. Gordon leads the team on the boards, pulling down 8.6 rebounds a game, followed by Wilson at 8.1. Wilson leads the team in blocks at 1.93 a game, which leads the WAC and ranks 37th nationally. UTA ranks in the top 50 nationally in 3-point attempts per game at 25.1 a contest. The team also ranks 47th in assists per game (15.5) and 44th in free throw attempts per game (22.4). The Mavs average 75.5 points per game while limiting opponents to a 73.5 points per game average.Â
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE MAVS
Utah Valley and UT Arlington will meet for just the sixth time on the basketball hardwood on Saturday. UTA holds a slight all-time 3-2 advantage in the series. The Mavericks defeated Utah Valley in the last meeting between the two schools, taking an 83-69 win earlier this season in Arlington. The Wolverines have won two of the last three matchups, including a 78-59 win over the Mavs the last time the two teams met in Orem on March 1, 2023.Â

TREVIN DORIUS
Trevin "The Wasatch Front" Dorius wraps up an impressive five year college career this season. He played four seasons (2019-23) for Utah State before transferring to play his final season at Utah Valley. He has tallied 670 points, 556 rebounds, and 116 blocks in his five seasons, including a career-best 267 points, 209 rebounds, and 50 blocks this season at Utah Valley. His 50 blocked shots this season are the sixth most ever recorded in a single season in UVU history, while his 1.8 blocks per game is the fifth-best single season average in UVU history.Â
CACHE FIELDS
Cache Fields is in his third and final season for the Wolverines (2018-19, 2022-24). He also spent two seasons (2020-22) at Gavilan College in Gilroy, California. Fields has played in 24 games for the Wolverines, including seven in last season's historic 28-win WAC Championship season where the team made a run to the Final Four of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). He scored a career-high six points with a pair of shots from long range in Utah Valley's outright WAC Championship-clinching win over Stephen F. Austin last season.Â
JADEN MCCLANAHAN
Jaden McClanahan wraps up an impressive four-year career at Utah Valley where he has helped the Wolverines to two WAC regular season championships and a historic 28-win season that included a run to the Final Four of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) last season. He also played one season at Independence Community College before playing his four seasons at UVU. He is playing in his 89th season for Utah Valley on Saturday. He has scored 389 points, dished out 195 assists, and pulled down 141 rebounds in his UVU career. He is enjoying his most successful season of his career, averaging 7.1 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.Â
UTAH VALLEY HOLDS SEVENTH-LONGEST WIN STREAK IN THE NATION AT FIVE GAMES
Utah Valley holds the seventh-longest win streak in the nation. The Wolverines have not dropped a game since falling to 72-61 to Tarleton State at home on Feb. 8. UVU then picked up a 74-45 win at home over Abilene Christian, a 69-46 win at California Baptist, a 78-75 win at Southern Utah, a 70-59 win at home over UTRGV, and a 71-62 win over Stephen F. Austin at the UCCU Center. Saint Mary's holds the nation's longest win streak at 15 games, followed by South Florida at 13.Â

THE EMERGENCE OF ETHAN POTTER
Prior to the game at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1, Ethan Potter was averaging 2.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks per game. His best game was an eight-point, 5-rebound performance in a 87-52 win over Division II Western Colorado. In the loss at SFA on Feb. 1, Potter scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds. In Utah Valley's last eight games, Potter leads UVU, averaging 15.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 0.5 steals per game. He is shooting 64.3% (58-84) from the field and 80% (12-15) from the free throw line.Â

Drake Allen dished out a career-high 11 assists in UVU road loss at Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 1 and then recorded 11 assists again in a 70-59 win over UTRGV on Feb. 22. Jaden McClanahan dished out a career-high 10 assists in Utah Valley's 81-73 win over Carroll College on in the team's season opener on Nov. 6. Allen and McClanahan's 10-plus assist performances are two of only three such 10-plus assist single game performances in the WAC this season. Alex Schumacher is the only other player to record 10 or more assists as he recorded 11 assists in Seattle U's 92-55 win over Idaho on Nov. 22. Allen is the only player in the WAC this season to record 10 or more assists in multiple games.
SECOND-BEST STEALS PER GAME MARK IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Utah Valley currently holds the second-best steals per game average in program history at 7.1 steals a contest. The school record for steals per game average is 8.5 set during the 2003-04 season. The record for steals in a season is 239 set last season during the team's run to the semifinals of the NIT over a 37-game season. UVU has 200 steals through 28 games this season. Drake Allen leads the team with 42 steals this season.
TREVIN "WASATCH FRONT" DORIUS CLIMBING SINGLE SEASON BLOCKS CHART
Utah Valley graduate center Trevin Dorius is climbing the UVU single season blocks charts. Dorius currently as 50 blocks, which is the sixth-best single season blocks total in single season history. Dorius' 1.8 blocks per game ties him for fifth on the UVU single season blocks per game chart.Â
BUILDING BLOCKS
Utah Valley has 128 blocks this season, which ranks the team fifth all-time on the UVU single season team blocks chart. The Wolverines average 4.6 team blocks per game, which ranks tied for third on the UVU single season team blocks per game chart.
UCCU CENTER MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 79-19 (80.6%) record at home since a win over Seattle U on March 4, 2017. The Wolverines hold an all-time 230-65 (77.9%) record as the team is in its 21st season at the UCCU Center. The Wolverines are averaging 10.9 wins a season on their home hardwood. UVU finished 14-1 at home last season. The team has won 26 of its last 29 games at home and 34 of its last 39 at the UCCU Center.
