Women's golf opens spring slate at Texas State Invitational

This Week
The Utah Valley women's golf team opens its spring slate in The Lone Star State as the team travels to compete in the Texas State Invitational, Feb. 5-6, at Landa Park Golf Course in New Braunfels, Texas.

Tournament Format
The 15-team field will be participating in a 54-hole tournament to be played at the par 71, 5,915-yard Landa Park Golf Course. Golfers will play two 18-hole rounds on Monday before playing one final 18-hole round on Tuesday. Golfers will tee off at 8:15 a.m. (CT) each day.

Quoting Coach Juli Erekson
"We're super excited to start the season a bit earlier this year and head to the Texas State event in New Braunfels. It will be a great opportunity to get out on grass sooner and build some confidence. We're looking forward to having Maria (Ortiz) share a bit of her home state in Texas with us. The girls are in a great mind space and physically strong. It'll be fun to watch their first event this year."
