OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University cross country continues its season this Friday at the BYU Autumn Classic at Lakeside Park in Orem. The 23rd-ranked Wolverine women will race at 9 a.m. before the men's race at 9:45 a.m. Both races will be four miles and live results are available via Meettrax.com or the MeetTrax app.
While the bulk of the UVU roster will compete this week, the starters will not race as they prepare for next week's Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota. The Wolverines are coming off of team wins at the season-opening UVU Invitational on Aug. 30.
Mo Guled helped lead the men's team to the win after taking first place overall with teammate
Austin Hone in second.
On the women's side,
Oakley Olson was the top finisher for Utah Valley. She took second place overall and was also named the WAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Monday. Coming in just behind Olson were
Anna Martin and
Caila Odekirk, who finished third and fourth, respectively.
Next week's 38th Annual Roy Griak Invitational will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.
