FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Utah Valley's
Dane Huddleston and
Ryan Seamons turned in strong performances on the first day of the Ram Master Invitational, each posting two-round scores of 2-under-par 138 to sit in a tie for 10th place at Fort Collins Country Club. Their efforts have Utah Valley tied for fourth on the 16-team leaderboard at 3-under-par 557 (282-275) heading into the final round.
"We're happy to see the guys get it turned around this week," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Curran. "This tournament is one of the best of the year, and this golf course just fits our eye. We will need a good round tomorrow to try and track down the leaders."

Huddleston opened with an even-par 70 and followed it up with a 2-under-par 68, carding five birdies in both rounds. He notched four birdies on the front nine in his first round and added three more on the back nine in his second round.Â

Seamons shot a 3-over-par 73 in the opening round but bounced back with a stellar 5-under-par 65 in the second round, highlighted by eight birdies, including a stretch of five consecutive birdies on holes 11-15.

Paxton Maxwell is also in the top 20, tying for 17th place with a two-round total of 1-under-par 139 (69-70).
Zachary Erskine is tied for 35th at 2-over-par 142 (70-72), while
Isaiah Ellis is tied for 60th at 5-over-par 145 (73-72).

Utah Valley is tied for fourth place with Long Beach State (274-283) and Idaho (286-271). Utah Tech leads the tournament at 13-under-par 547 (277-270), while Colorado and Colorado State are tied for second at 9-under-par 551.
