ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley's Omar Yehya and Alex Fritcher have been named this week's UCU WAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Yehya, a redshirt senior from Redlands, Calif., ranks third in the nation in goals scored following his three-goal performance last week. Yehya scored against Cal Poly then netted a brace against Lindenwood to bring his tally to seven goals so far this season. Yehya is one off the national lead of eight, held by Missouri State's Jesus Barea and Wisconsin's Dean Boltz. Yehya's seven goals already rank tied for the sixth most in a single season in program history.

Fritcher, a junior from Lindon, Utah, played 135 minutes in this week's games — the full 90 against Cal Poly and the second half against Lindenwood — and aided the Wolverine defense in allowing just one goal while he was on the pitch. Fritcher and the Wolverine defense have been among the best in the nation, allowing 0.86 goals per game. 

Utah Valley returns to action against the No. 22 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. MT, and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
