FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Utah Valley's Ryan Seamons carded a final-round 2-over-par 72 on Wednesday to secure a tie for 18th place at the Ram Masters Invitational with an even-par 210 (73-65-72) over three rounds at Fort Collins Country Club. The Wolverines finished 10th overall on the 16-team leaderboard with a combined score of 12-over-par 852 (282-275-295).
 
Seamons' consistent play, which included three birdies in his final round, helped him finish in the top 20 of the 93-player field. Dane Huddleston followed closely, shooting a 3-over-par 73 in the final round to tie for 24th at 1-over-par 211 (70-68-73). Huddleston's round featured three birdies on the back nine.
 
Paxton Maxwell recorded a final-round 4-over-par 74 to tie for 39th at 3-over-par 213 (69-70-74), while Zachary Erskine shot a 7-over-par 77, tying for 66th at 9-over-par 219 (70-72-77). Isaiah Ellis rounded out UVU's performance with a final-round 6-over-par 76, finishing tied for 73rd at 11-over-par 221 (73-72-76). Ellis tallied three birdies on the back nine during his round.
 
As a team, Utah Valley shot a 15-over-par 295 in the final round to finish 10th overall. Colorado State captured the team title with an impressive 22-under-par 818 (273-278-267), while Valparaiso's Anthony Delisanti claimed individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 13-under-par 197 (67-63-67).
 
"We didn't finish quite as strong as we would have liked, but there are plenty of positives to take away," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Curran. "Ryan (Seamons) and Dane (Huddleston) were solid all week, and I'm proud of the way the team competed. We'll use this as a learning experience and look to build on it in our next event."
 
Utah Valley will continue its fall schedule at the Oregon State Invitational, set for Oct. 7-8 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon.
