OPENING TIP
After sweeping a pair of conference games last week, Utah Valley University opens a three-game homestand this Thursday against California Baptist. Tip is set for 6 p.m. MT in the UCCU Center with the game airing live on ESPN+.Â
The Wolverines (11-6, 3-2) handed UT Arlington its first conference loss (86-75) last Thursday in Orem before traveling to St. George and picking up a road win at Utah Tech, 62-46. UVU had different players step up to contribute heavily in the two wins. Against UTA, Cambree Blackham set a career-high with 23 points behind five 3-pointers. She also dished out six assists while her sister, Ally Criddle, finished with a career-high 18 points and matched her season-high with eight assists. In Saturday's road win at Utah Tech, Tahlia White scored 18 and Danja Stafford Collins finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She leads the WAC in rebounding at 9.6 per game while also ranking fourth in the country with 4.8 coming on the offensive glass.Â
As a team, the Wolverines continue to lead the WAC and rank among the national leaders in steals per game and turnovers forced per game. UVU ranks fourth in the country with 13.9 steals per game, 11th with 24.3 turnovers forced per game, and also leads the league in bench points (26.4) and offensive rebounds per game (14.2).Â

White scored 16 of her 18 points in the opening half and Stafford Collins added a double-double as Utah Valley University picked up a WAC road win at in-state rival Utah Tech University, 62-46, on Saturday at Burns Arena. Stafford Collins totaled 13 points and 11 rebounds, while White also dished out five assists and had three steals. The Wolverines' defensive pressure and work on the offensive glass helped lead to 25 more field goal attempts than the Trailblazers. Utah Valley finished with 13 steals, scored 20 points off the turnovers, and had 19 offensive boards that led to 13 second-chance points. Utah Tech finished with 25 turnovers while the Wolverines were limited to 13.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
California Baptist enters this week's action at 3-1 in WAC play after seeing its four-game win streak snapped at home to Abilene Christian last Saturday. The Wolverines and Lancers met just two weeks ago in Riverside, with CBU making 19 3-pointers, 11 coming from Khloe Lemon to tie a WAC record. Lemon scored 39 points in the game. The last time UVU and CBU met in Orem, the Wolverines upset the Lancers in overtime, 92-89.
