1/8/2025 11:13:00 AM

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University resumes the 2025 indoor track & field schedule this week with the BYU Cougar Invitational, starting Thursday and running until Saturday in Provo.

Thursday will be the multis in the Smith Fieldhouse, while the throwers will compete in the Indoor Practice Facility. Friday will be the conclusion of the men's heptathlon as well as the long jump, high jump, and triple jump. Saturday will feature pole vault and everything on the track, which concludes with the 4x400 relays.

The Wolverines opened the outdoor schedule before the holiday break at the BYU December Invitational. The team had five school records hit and totaled 31 top-10 performances, several of which came from freshmen, with three of those coming on the opening day from the throwers.

Freshmen Grace Degarimore and Trevor Hill both set school records in their first collegiate meets. Degarimore shattered the indoor discus record and also recorded the No. 6 mark in the shot put, while Hill set the indoor men's discus record. Both are slated to compete on Thursday. Other school record holders entered to compete this week include Alyssa Logan (weight throw), Quincy Bonds (60mH), Kelsi Oldroyd (long jump), and Cameron Franklin (400).

Following this week's meet, the Wolverines will next compete on Feb. 1 at Utah State's Speed & Power Meet.
