The Utah Valley men's golf team continues its fall schedule at the Oregon State Invitational, Oct. 14-15, at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem, Oregon. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will feature a competitive 15-team field hosted by Oregon State.
Tournament Format
The 54-hole event will consist of 36 holes on Tuesday, Oct. 14, followed by the final 18 holes on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Both days will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Tournament Field
The 2025 Oregon State Invitational will feature teams from across the West, including Arizona State, Boise State, California Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho, Oregon State, Seattle U, Tarleton State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Utah Valley, and Wyoming.
Course Information
Illahe Hills Country Club serves as the host course for the event. The par-72 layout is set at 6,970 yards and plays as a classic Pacific Northwest parkland test—tight, tree-lined corridors, strategic doglegs, and elevation changes that reward precise placement off the tee. Bunkering guards both layup zones and green fronts, and several approach shots play slightly uphill or downhill, making yardage control critical. The greens are quick and subtly contoured, emphasizing smart angles and a confident short game. With an 8 a.m. shotgun start both days, cool morning conditions and gradually firming surfaces could create a noticeable difference between early holes and the closing stretch, putting a premium on adaptability and pace management.

Looking Ahead
Following the Oregon State Invitational, Utah Valley will close out its fall slate at the Nassau Intercollegiate, Oct. 20-21, at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York. The Wolverines will then pick back up in the spring at the Loyola Intercollegiate, Feb. 15-17, in Goodyear, Arizona.
