SALEM, Ore.—Utah Valley's Colby Hutchens fired a 3-under-par 141 (71–70) on Tuesday at Illahe Hills Country Club to share the 36-hole lead at the Oregon State Invitational. The Wolverines are tied for sixth at 16-over 592 (292–300) in the 14-team field.

Hutchens carded six birdies in an opening-round 71 and added four more in a near-flawless afternoon 70. He is tied with Gonzaga's Guillermo Polo Bodart atop the 80-player leaderboard.

Paxton Maxwell is tied for 16th at 2-over 146 (72–74), while Andrew Hawk sits tied for 44th at 151 (72–79). JJ Tomsick is 65th at 154 (77–77), and Isaiah Ellis is at 165 (80–85).

Utah Valley concludes play on Wednesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT.
