11/30/2025 6:45:00 PM

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's volleyball found out its destination for the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Sunday night. The Wolverines will travel to play No. 2 Stanford on Friday, Dec. 5, at Maples Pavilion at 8:00 p.m. MT.

It's the third time that the Wolverines have made the NCAA Tournament after going in the Fall 2021 to Omaha, where they fell to Texas State, and later in the spring season, they played Utah in Provo.

The Wolverines and Stanford will play their first-ever matchup in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinal finished the season 27-4 and 18-2 in the ACC. Elia Rubin has 333 kills, averages 4.00 points per set, and has added 41 aces from behind the service line. She was selected in the fourth round of the Major League Volleyball draft by the San Diego Mojo. Setters Logan Park and Taylor Yu both average six assists per set, with Parks coming in with 845 assists and 9.83 assists per set.

A Utah Valley win in the first round would be the first NCAA Tournament win for the Wolverines, and they would advance to play either Arizona or South Dakota State on Saturday, Dec. 6.
