GREENWOOD, Ind. – Utah Valley women's volleyball had four players honored by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on the Academic All-District team on Tuesday morning. Evalyn Chism, Lani Matavao, Avery Page, and Bella Wooden all earned the honor. The award combines their academic achievements with their performance in their sport.

"I am so proud of these girls for their dedication on the court and especially in the classroom," said UVU head coach Sam Atoa. "I have never worried about their academics. They motivate and push themselves to do their best! They are amazing!"

Chism, who earned the WAC Setter of the Year honor for both the preseason and postseason, finished the season with 687 assists, averaging just under seven assists per set while sometimes balancing duties as a six-rotation setter playing in the front row. She tallied 197 digs defensively and tallied 33 total blocks this season for the Wolveirnes. In the classroom, she adds a 3.85 grade point average in UVU's Family Science program, earning Academic All-WAC honors the last two seasons. She was honored last season by College Sports Communicators on the Academic All-District team.

Matavao earns the honor for the second time in her career and holds a 3.65 GPA in UVU's Public Health Program. She earned Academic All-WAC honors her first two seasons in Orem.
On the court for the Wolverines, the junior recorded 342 digs, including her 1,000th career dig this past season. The seven-time WAC Libero of the Week honoree was often served away from this past season, and some of her best matches against the Power Four schools in UVU's schedule, recording 14 digs against Utah, and adding 19 against BYU. She was selected to the All-WAC Second Team honors this past season.

Page took home just about every award this season, including WAC Player of the Year, and AVCA All-Region honors in 2025. She tallied 341 kills to lead the UVU offensive attack and averaged over 4.09 points per set this season. She leaves Utah Valley in the Top 5 in most offensive categories and was the driving force behind UVU's WAC Tournament Championship, where she recorded a match-high 22 kills against Utah Tech. In the classroom, she holds a 3.98 GPA in UVU's Criminal Justice program. In her three seasons in Orem, she was named to the Academic All-WAC team three times.

Wooden became one of the most feared blockers in the country and finished the regular season first nationally in both blocks per set (1.86) and total blocks (188). Her 26 solo blocks broke UVU's single-season record for the most solos in the season. The All-WAC First Team honoree added 143 kills offensively and a career-high 26 aces. Academically, she holds a 3.88 GPA in the Health Sciences program at Utah Valley. While at UVU, she was a two-time Academic All-WAC selection and earned the Academic All-District honor last season. Earlier this season, she was named Perry Homes Scholar-Athlete of the Month.

To be considered for the award, a student-athlete must hold a 3.50 GPA or higher and meet eligibility athletically, including participation in at least 90% of the team's matches, or must start in at least 66% of all matches. True Freshmen are not eligible for the award.

They will now move on to the national ballot and have the potential to earn CSC Academic All-America honors.
