OREM, Utah — In its final tune-up prior to the WAC Indoor Championships at the end of the month, Utah Valley University Track & Field is headed to Pocatello this weekend for the Mountain States Games at the ICCU Dome at Idaho State University.

The Wolverines will have a full slate of competitors in action in Idaho with a pair of distance runners headed to Washington's Husky Classic in Seattle. Mo Guled will run the 5k on Friday and the mile on Saturday alongside Abdulsalam Farah, who will also race in the 3k on Friday at Washington.

Last weekend, while the distance squad was off, Utah Valley had the rest of the team competing at the Wolf Pack Classic in Reno with a handful at the Stacy Dragila Invitational at Idaho State. The Wolverines had 18 Top-10 marks hit, including four school records, two of which came from Quincy Bonds, who was named the WAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Bonds set the 60mH record for the third meet in a row this season on Friday before breaking a 13-year-old 200-meter record on Saturday. Ella Hopper improved the 400-meter school record on Saturday and also set the No. 2 mark, behind Bonds, in the 200. Cameron Franklin improved on the men's 400-meter record that he previously held as well.

In Pocatello on Friday, the pentathlon and the first four events of the heptathlon will take place. The women's pole vault, shot put, and long jump will also be contested in field events. On the track, most races will be prelims with the finals on Saturday. Friday's schedule concludes with the distance medley.

Saturday begins at 10 a.m. with the final three heptathlon events and the high jump. The weight throw, triple jump, and men's pole vault will also be held on Saturday, as well as the track finals, and ending with the 4x400.
