OREM, Utah – Utah Valley wrestling will close out the regular season on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7:00 p.m. MT against (RV) Northern Colorado inside Lockhart Arena. The Wolverines will honor No. 3 Terrell Barraclough and Kase Mauger before the dual. This will be the last home dual of the 2024-2025 season.

The dual will be streamed on FloWrestling and GoUVU's Youtube channel. Sam Allen and Chasen Tolbert will have the call of the action. TrackWrestling will have live scoring and results for each match.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines finished 1-1 last week in dual action, starting with a 26-12 loss to No. 20 West Virginia at Layton High School. Despite one of the best wins in the country last week from Barraclough over Peyton Hall, it was not enough to upset the Mountaineers. Utah Valley quickly bounced back to get their first win over Air Force since 2016-2017. The dual featured bonus point victories from Mauger, Smokey McClure, Barraclough, and Jack Forbes.
 
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Northern Colorado is 9-4 and is 2-2 in Big 12 duals. Returning 2023 NCAA Champion Andrew Alirez is back at 141 pounds and is currently No. 2 in the country. UNC is deeper than just one guy with No. 6 Stevo Poulin at 125, and then you add in No. 14 Dominick Serrano at 133 pounds. At 157, Vincent Zerban is ranked at No. 15 for Troy Nickerson's squad, who will look to win their fourth of the last five duals against Utah Valley.
 
HISTORY WITH THE BEARS
The Wolverines are 10-14 all-time against Northern Colorado, but Utah Valley will look to get the second consecutive win in Orem. The Bears won last year's fight in Greeley despite UVU winning five bouts all by decision.
 
RECORD WATCH
Utah Valley won three Big 12 duals for the first time since the 2017-2018 season, when they won four. A win over Northern Colorado would tie the record for the most duals won since UVU joined the Big 12.
 
Haiden Drury and Mauger are both nearing 100 dual points in their career. Drury is currently at 96 and has set a career-high for dual points with 39 and is 10-3 in duals this season. Mauger has tallied 92 dual points and set a career high with 44 dual points this season. He could finish in double-digit dual wins for the first time in his career this week.

Utah Valley will turn its attention to the 2025 Big 12 Championships at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., on March 8-9. Brackets and seedings will be announced in the coming weeks. The NCAA will announce allocations for each conference for the 2025 NCAA Championships in Philadelphia next month.
