ARLINGTON, Texas – After securing his third consecutive individual title, Utah Valley sophomore Dane Huddleston has been named the University Credit Union WAC Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Huddleston earned the honor following his dominant performance at the Mesquite Desert Classic (Feb. 16-18), where he fired rounds of 65-70-67 to finish at 14-under-par 202 and claim the individual title by two strokes. His efforts also helped lead Utah Valley to the team championship, marking a sweep for the Wolverines at Casablanca Resort in Mesquite, Nevada.

The sophomore was the tournament's par-4 scoring leader, finishing at 6-under-par (3.80), and ranked second in the field with 17 birdies. His opening-round 65 was tied for the lowest 18-hole score of the tournament in the 64-player field.

Huddleston's latest win adds to his back-to-back-to-back victories, having also claimed individual titles at the Utah Shootout (Oct. 14) and the Kapolei Invitational (Oct. 31) in the fall.

Huddleston and the Wolverines will be back in action March 4-5 at the Nick Watney Invitational at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno, California.
