OPENING TIP
With four games left in the WAC regular season, Utah Valley looks to secure its berth for the Las Vegas portion of the WAC Tournament this weekend with a road contest at Seattle University. Tip is set for noon PT/1 p.m. MT from the Redhawk Center.
After snapping its recent losing streak with a 74-51 win over Utah Tech on Wednesday night, the Wolverines (14-10, 6-6) are in fifth place in the WAC standings, tied with Abilene Christian in the loss column. The top seven teams will qualify for the tournament at The Orleans in Vegas while the eight and nine seeds will play in St. George on March 11 for the last spot in Vegas. Â
A win on Saturday, or a Utah Tech loss to ACU, would assure Utah Valley of its spot at The Orleans. The Wolverines will play two road games and two home games to close out the conference season. In UVU's win over Utah Tech on Wednesday, Amanda Barcello became the first Wolverine to take and make all six of her attempts from three as she went 7-for-7 overall and scored a career-high 22 points.Â
Statistically, the Wolverines continue to lead the WAC and rank fourth in the country with 14.2 steals per game. UVU is also seventh in the country with 24.04 turnovers forced per game, 33rd in offensive rebounds per game (14.2) and 29th in bench points per game (25.1).Â
LAST TIME OUT
Barcello was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, 6-for-6 en route to leading UVU to a season sweep of Utah Tech in the Old Hammer Rivarly. Tahlia White and Halle Nelson both added 10 points apiece for the Wolverines (14-10, 6-6), who had 21 steals and forced 31 turnovers. Nelson had six steals while Kylee Mabry had four and Ally Criddle and Cambree Blackham had three each and White added a career-high four blocks. Playing without the WAC's leading rebounder, Danja Stafford Collins, Utah Valley got contributions on the glass from Tessa Chaney and Nelson, who finished with eight and seven rebounds, respectively.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

The Redhawks have lost 11 straight overall, but last time out lost a close one to Tarleton State, 79-76, last Saturday at home. Seattle leads the all-time series 15-13 and is 8-3 at home against UVU. The Wolverines have won the last two in the series.
